Charities
With over 160,000 registered charities in the UK competition to raise funds is extremely high. Coupled with the recent economic downturn things have never been so tough. Legende Celebrity Art has created a unique, easy, ethical and completely ‘no risk’ method of raising funds. Carefully planned charity events can still provide a very healthy income stream for many voluntary organisations including charity balls and corporate events.
What is different about us?
Founder Richard Evans has 20 years experience in charity fundraising including presently a committee member of the Institute of Fundraising London Group and previously Chairman of a regional group outside London as well as a former charity trustee of a major grant giving charity.
Professional auctioneers tell us that much of the usual sports memorabilia on offer at charity auctions at the moment is coming under significant pressure to achieve much over the reserve price, what makes us unique is that our main focus is highly desirable limited edition works of art, often never seen before, which are achieving well above reserve prices. We also have strong links with various celebrity magazines that can help with PR for the event and can even include celebrities. Some charities we work with have also asked us to provide unique experiences to compliment our products on offer for example a photograph taken of the band U2 can be coupled with a set of VIP tickets to see them in concert and so on, the skies the limit!
How does it work?
Working on a ’sale or return’ basis Legende Celebrity Art provides a range of limited edition iconic photographic prints, paintings and sculptures by the worlds leading photographers and artists for sale at charity auctions.
Sourcing and securing auction products and prizes can be incredibly time intensive for busy Fundraisers – this is where Legende Celebrity Art can really help. We can also help arrange the actual auction by providing a professional auctioneer to help drive the price to the maximum for ‘live auctions’, alternatively we can operate a silent auction manually or using the latest technology available.
Our prints and memorabilia are entered into the charity auction, a reserve price is set under the recommended retail price and anything achieved over that reserve price goes directly to the charity as pure profit. We deliver the products to the event in advance, display them tastefully and are on hand all evening to advise on each product, we can either take payment ourselves and pay the charity the amount due or vica versa the charity can process once the auction is complete and then we simply invoice the charity for our proportion. The successful bidder may wish to take the piece there and then or we can deliver to them at a convenient time after the event. Depending on the size of the event we provide all the staff required leaving you to concentrate on your guests.
Working on a ’sale or return’ basis the charity really has nothing to lose!
Products selected for your Event – we have plenty of ideas
We have a selection of packages for charity events. Naturally, the choice of product depends on the theme of the event and your audience profile as we can tailor a package that suits you. Reserve prices start from as little as £600 upwards.
Please note that the figures quoted below are estimated averages and a very small example of some of the many options we can provide. Our products can be either a part, or all, of your auction – we offer complete flexibility! For much larger events we can provide as much product as needed depending on the profile and amount of people attending – product can range from 2 items upwards.
